Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The Risk Management Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Corporate Safety Department by maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They will handle administrative tasks, maintain documentation, and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for employees.

Document Management:

  • Track DOT driver documents
  • Respond to DOT employment verification requests company-wide
  • Issue certificates of Insurance to customers upon request

Compliance Management:

  • Monitor and track employee insurance for those needing additional coverage
  • Assist with coordination of the random drug test program
  • Update the DOT accident register
  • Request police reports for accidents
  • Assist with Driver Qualification file management
  • Support license monitoring efforts

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Experience with Driver Qualification Files
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, procedures, and best practices
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Experience with Samba Safety a plus
  • Proven experience in administrative or clerical roles, preferably in a safety-related environment
  • DayForce proficiency a plus
  • Neat and professional appearance
  • Must be able to be at work on time every day as scheduled
  • High School Diploma

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
