The Tempur Sealy manufacturing site in Dallas, TX is currently seeking a Material Handler. The pay rate is $22.50.

Job Summary: The Material Handler will support the departments. The material handler is responsible for operating a forklift to unload the materials and moving the materials to the appropriate department.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and update account of stock and inventory.
  • Maintain and operate warehouse equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in the loading and unloading of materials; ensure materials are counted and inspected.
  • Participate in the distribution of materials to the appropriate job or personnel.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.

What You'll Need:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a non-airconditioned environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (required overtime and Saturdays)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
