Sr. Manager - Process Transformation Strategy
The Sr. Manager, Process Transformation Strategy will lead a team of process improvement experts with accountability for delivering on a broad range of projects, varying in risk, size, and complexity, while aligning to business strategies. The Sr. Manager, Process Transformation Strategy provides leadership and direction to develop skills and organizational capabilities to achieve business results as well as educates and creates awareness of Process Improvement / Transformation methodologies across the Bank. The team will employ methods to ensure adherence to industry-wide process standards, relevant best practices around BPM tool administration, and overall competitive analysis that will ensure our strategic edge. It combines big picture thinking, coupled with small incremental steps to achieve process transformation.

The Sr. Manager, Process Transformation Strategy will lead a team that will be focused on the designing/managing the enterprise process standards, deploy/lead/administer a new Business Process Management tool, and lead the design of the ongoing process transformation strategy for the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Enterprise Process Standards / Guidelines:
  • Manage process artifact guidelines/standards.
  • Manage training curriculum for new process standards/ CI methodology and use of new BPM solution.
  • Manage robust review process (QA/QC) for pro-active enforcement of process standards/guidelines.
  • Prepare ongoing Executive communications documents to share progress and findings with Comerica stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with line of business to introduce/reinforce process standards / guidelines.
Administration and Deployment of BPM Solution:
  • Lead integration of business requirements into new capabilities/ functionality of BPM solution.
  • Lead BPM vendor relationship.
  • Design and lead internal support structure for BPM solution.
  • Pro-actively lead coordination with Process Transformation Governance Team as needs rise.
  • Work collaboratively with line of business as part of deployment of BPM solution across the enterprise.
Process Transformation Strategy:
  • Create / design strategic view of process transformation opportunities across the enterprise.
  • Gather feedback / requirements from line of business and align those with process transformation strategy.
  • Ensure process transformation strategy is aligned with overall corporate strategy / goals / objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with Process Transformation Governance Team on pipeline management of new process improvement ideas.
Execution and Monitoring:
  • Pro-actively and continuously engage BPM vendor to ensure latest features and updates are in place.
  • Monitor and document process changes and measure improvements in efficiency and identify any new bottlenecks.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to optimize the solution and achieve a high adoption rate.
Leadership:
  • Manage and develop team cultivating a spirit of one team with shared goals and objectives.
  • Select, motivate and retain high performing talent.
  • Work with senior leaders to evolve culture and organizational behavior, elevating Process Transformation into a strategic partner.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED and 14 years of progressively responsible experience
  • 8 years of experience in leading enterprise level business process management solutions (e.g. Pega, Bizagi, Appian, iGrafx, etc.) with the proven ability to assess situations, align and understand company goals and adept at translating strategy into execution. Strong focus on managing relationship with third-party vendors and senior internal stakeholders
  • 8 years of experience in end-to-end enterprise level business process management implementation alongside of enabling systems implementation. Including discovering, mining, documenting, modeling, analyzing, improving, and measuring optimized business processes
  • 8 years of experience in prioritizing multiple requests and obligations to facilitate a smooth, organized workflow, while achieving committed results on time
  • 8 years of experience in strong leadership and line management of teams (direct and matrixed)
  • 8 years of experience in writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with senior internal/external stakeholders and to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understand messages
  • 8 years of experience and proven ability to create and communicate strategies at all levels of the organization. Highly effective at building, nurturing, and leveraging relationships
  • 4 years of experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations and the regulatory environment (preferred)
  • Master's degree preferred in Business, Finance, or other relevant area
